Instructions for iPhone users

To activate 'Live Notifications' feature
1. Go to Settings in your iPhone, scroll down and select PEODY app
2. Set 'Location' to ALWAYS
3. Set 'Background App Refresh' to ON
4. Set 'Notifications' to ENABLED

To disable 'Live Notifications' feature
You can disable this feature anytime by going to Settings in your iPhone > tap 'Privacy & Security' > click 'Location Services' > scroll down and select PEODY app > change location access to 'While Using the App'.
Alternatively, you can go to your iPhone's Settings > PEODY app > Location > change location access to 'While Using the App'
This feature is currently only available for iPhone devices, it is coming soon to Android devices

Q1. Can "Allow While Using App" location setting be used instead of 'Always Allow'?
Answer: The 'Allow While Using App' location setting is insufficient for ensuring the seamless operation of "Live-Notifications" which relies on regular location updates in the background. If the app is closed or terminated due to reasons such as a system error, low battery, or intentional swiping, the location updates cease, hindering the functionality that detects nearby places with exclusive offers.
Opting for the "Always Allow" location permission is crucial, as it empowers the feature to automatically notify you when you are in or near a location offering exclusive discounts or offers for your selected cards. This setting ensures a more consistent and reliable service, allowing you to make the most of the benefits associated with our platform. Therefore, it is essential to have both "Always Allow" for location permission and have 'Background App Refresh' and 'Notifications' enabled to fully experience the value our app provides.
Q2. Will enabling 'Live Notifications' feature reduce my phone's battery?
Answer: We focused our effort to ensuring that the 'Live Notifications' feature has minimum impact to your phone's battery. Our meticulous and unique design prioritizes keeping battery consumption to an absolute minimum while maximizing the convenience of locating all your exclusive discounts on the go, effortlessly.
Enabling the feature using option 'Limited (Malls Only)' has least impact on battery consumption but limits notifications to show the total count of nearby places with exclusive offers at malls/shopping centers only. Opting for option 'Best (Everywhere)' gives the maximum value by notifying you everywhere, at malls/shopping centers as well whenever you're in or nearby all stores that provide exclusive offers and discounts for your cards/memberships.
Since option 'Best (Everywhere)' is always active, it consumes more battery compared to option 'Limited (Malls Only)'. We therefore recommend opting for option 'Best (Everywhere)' to users who want to be kept informed about their exclusive offers and discounts, effortlessly on the go anywhere.
We provide a choice between selecting 'Best (Everywhere)' or 'Limited (Malls Only)' so you can toggle the option that best suits your preference.
Q3. What is the difference between options 'Best (Everywhere)' and 'Limited (Malls Only)'?
Answer: Option 'Best (Everywhere)' provides the maximum value by promptly notifying you whenever you are in or near to a store or a mall/shopping-center that provides exclusive discounts for the selected cards or memberships in your profile on the go, irrespective if app is open or closed. This option is recommended for users who prefers to be kept informed about their exclusive offers and discounts.
Option 'Limited (Malls Only)' is designed for users who prefer to be notified only about their total exclusive discounts and offers at malls/shopping centers.
In essence, option 'Best (Everywhere)' ensures you are always informed about your exclusive offers and discounts, while option 'Limited (Malls Only)' option is limited to total exclusive offers and discounts at malls/shopping-centers only. Choose the option that aligns with your preference for either continuous awareness or only at malls.
Q4. Is the history of my locations stored? and how is my data privacy ensured?
Answer: No' we do not store any history of your location history data. Your privacy is our top priority and as such we've designed the 'Live Notifications' feature such that it only depends on the most recent location to search and locate nearby places with exclusive offers and discounts.
