Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 15, 2023

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is meant to help you understand what information PEODY (“Service,” “us,” “our,” and “we”) collects, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, and delete your information. This Policy applies to all users who use the Service, which includes the Website, the Content Management System (CMS) and the mobile applications (APP). In addition to this Policy, we've outlined the Terms of Service which governs your use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

To help explain things as clearly as possible, we've added examples. And if you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us. You can determine when this Policy was last revised by referring to the "Effective Date” above.

1. Types of information used by the Service

We collect information to make the Service work for you — from the basic information to make core functions work (such as account-based info & location) to the more complex things like which type of notifications you'd like to receive or places you'd like to save as your favorite places to make them easily accessible on the go. The information the Service collects, and how that information is used depends on how you use the Service and which additional features you opt to enable. More information about type of information and its' usage are outlined in further detail below with examples.

When you choose to sign-up/in the Services uses the account-based selections you choose in APP to display relevant information nearest to your selected location, this forms a core function of the APP. Below are other types of information we collect as you use the Service:

1.1 Crash Reports

We enable receiving general non-account based information about crashes in-app to constantly improve the Service and make it better. The information we receive are not linked to specific user account but is instead a technical notification / message that contains the APP version and section/page in the APP where the bug/crash occurred so we can replicate the error on our end. Example: if APP crashes every time a random user images of a place we receive a crash report that shows APP crashed when images for a place was clicked with the timestamp and the app version number on which the APP crash occurred enabling us to troubleshoot the issue and fix it.

1.2 Content Error Reports

We collect reports submitted to us via the Service which we use to correct/update content/plan for future features. These include:

  • Content issue reports you submit to us from the Service indicating that a particular content is invalid/outdated. Example 'Offer/discount is no longer valid' or 'Place is permanently closed'. We use this information to correct the content or delete the place reported as permanently closed from the Service.

  • Feedback reports you submit to us with suggestions on which future features we should consider adding are used to make the Service even better.

1.3 Your Location

We combine account-based selections and preset fixed location or current location only to show nearby places with exclusive offers & discounts for account-based selections and sort those you marked as a favorite closest to the set-location.

Your location can be entered either by a. if you opt to enable automatic use of location services in-device (following in-APP consent prompt) or b. manually set location in-APP using 'Set-Location manually' option.

How does this whole thing work? Let us simplify further: on your sign-in/up onto the APP from any device we ask for permission/consent to use your location (also known as 'Enable Location Services') where you're given the option to 'Allow' or 'Don't Allow'. If you chose 'Allow' and later decided to not want the APP to use your location information, you can turn your device’s location off for this APP anytime using the device’s settings. Turning off the sharing of location limits the APP to automatically show you nearest places with exclusive offers & discounts based on your current location; however, you can still opt to set a location manually using the map which will sort places closest to the manually selected location. We also provide an optional feature (called 'Live Notifications') which depends on using 'live-location' (also known as 'Always). If enabled, the Service does not store nor can retrieve location history. The feature in the Service only uses last known geo-location to locate nearby places with exclusive offers and discounts to that location only.

The Service uses Google Maps APIs which enables you to navigate to the location of the place, see Google reviews about the place, and other public information about the place such as opening hours or contact number.

2. How we use the information collected

We use the information we collect from the Service for the following purposes:

2.1 Show Content

We use account-based information and selections to enable the Service to show you the relevant content for your selections. For example, to display exclusive offers & discounts applicable to the cards/memberships selected, process searched keywords to provide results about places that best match the searched keyword. Also, when marking places as 'favorites' the Service uses this information to sort these places on 'Favorites' tab so you can easily locate them on the go.

2.2 Maintain & improve our services

We use crash reports/feedback/content-error reports to ensure our services are working as intended, such as troubleshooting crash reports, correct errors in content or consider additional features that you would like to add to the APP.

3. Your choices

As a user of the Service, you can limit the information you chose to provide to the Service, and you can also limit the communications that the Service sends to you. Here are the optional choices:

3.1 Push Notifications

The Service provides push notifications to keep you informed about new offers/discounts for account-based cards or remind you if one of your favorite places has an offer that is going to expire soon. You may choose to turn off or limit the type of push notifications by logging into your account in the APP and adjusting your push notification preferences, that is to completely turn off, limit them to specific categories, or enable/disable to be notified when favorites have offers that are going to expire soon (also known as 'Favorites Expiring Soon' option).

3.2 Marketing E-mails

You may choose not to receive marketing e-mails from us by following the instructions contained to unsubscribe in any of the marketing e-mails we send.

3.3 Profile Picture

To customize the look and feel of your profile for you, we've enabled a feature to upload a profile picture. This is completely optional and only works if you consent to allow access to images of your choice for upload.

3.3 Location

Your location can be either set automatically if you opt to enable use of location services directly from device on APP or by manually selecting a location (either by text-search or on map).

5. Deleting your account & information

You can delete your entire account anytime which will also delete all the information stored about it. This can be done from the APP by navigating to Profile tab, select Account then 'Delete Account'. Once account is deleted, all associated data to the account is erased and it is not possible to retrieve it thereafter.
